After three consecutive years of increases, auto insurance premiums are finally showing signs of decline thanks to the widespread adoption of advanced driver-assistance systems. Insurers report fewer claims related to collisions and rear-end accidents in vehicles equipped with modern safety features.

The average annual premium has dropped by approximately 4.2% compared to the same period last year, according to industry data released this week. Drivers of newer model vehicles with automatic emergency braking and lane-keeping assist are seeing the largest reductions.

Industry analysts caution that the trend may not be uniform across all regions, as urban areas with higher traffic density continue to see elevated claim rates despite the technological improvements.
